My Father’s Hands

My fathers hands

With the help of my husband, who measured, straightened and generally kept things organized, and my sister, who tagged and cleaned off fingerprints, my first solo art show is up and will hang on the walls of the Palmyra Cove Nature Park in Palmyra, New Jersey, until April 27th, 2013.

Had my father been alive, he would have turned 95 today.  He was my waking thought.

My parents were both supporters of my art, but I felt my Dad was perhaps a bit more proud of my gift. He lived  longer than Mom, so was there as it expanded to fill my life.

Today, when I did a 360 turn in a room full of work produced from my heart, my head and my hands, I could not ignore his strong and proud presence.  Happy Birthday Dad.

This one’s for you.

It’s been a very good day.

    1. As I age, I now realize how very blessed I was to to grow up in a loving, functional family. Thanks for your compliment and for reading my musings on art, live and creativity in general.
